Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation

On Thursday, January 28 God's Way recognized some of our volunteers of 2009. Our volunteers do an invaluable job at the center. From preparing and delivering meals, sorting and arranging clothing as it comes in from donors, cleaning the center and serving meals to mowing the grass and shoveling snow, the volunteers spend many hours each week donating their time and energy to help.

Mayor Tom Marion spoke to the crowd recounting the volunteer training he received in his home as a boy. He commended all who are willing to devote time and resources to helping those who can benefit so from their efforts.

The 26 volunteers received a certificate and a small gift as a token of our appreciation.

Some of the volunteers were in the kitchen getting the meal ready to serve and a few were not able to attend. We appreciate everyone who gives so freely of their time and talents.

Thanks to all of you.
